Garmin Nuvi GPS Automotive Navigation Systems
Excellent navigation and useful extras put the Garmin Nuvi line at the head of the pack for automotive GPS systems. All of the models in this line have bright antiglare touchscreens and a very easy-to-use interface. Nuvi 1200 Series This new series of Garmin Nuvi GPS automotive GPS systems features an ultra-thin design and a compact overall size small enough to fit in a pocket. The series includes the model 1200, model 1250, and model 1260T. Nuvi 1300 Series This series is a wide-screen version of the Garmin Nuvi GPS 1200 series. Garmin GPS Nuvi Models include the 1300, 1350, 1350T, 1370T, and 1390T. We'll be trying to get a few of these units for testing soon. Nuvi 200 Series The Garmin Nuvi 200 GPS is the basic, entry-level model designed to be affordable for beginners. It has a 3.5" screen and a limited map set of the contiguous U.S. states, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The 200W has the same features as the 200, but sports a wider 4.3 inch screen. The 250 has a 3.5 inch screen and maps of North America (all 50 U.S. states and Canada) or Europe. The 250W has the same features as the 250 with a 4.3 inch widescreen. The 260 has a 3.5 inch screen and maps of North America. It has the valuable ability to speak street names. The 260W adds a widescreen to the 260 feature set. The 270 is designed for international travelers, including maps of both North America and Europe. It has a 3.5 inch screen. Nuvi 205 Series The Garmin Nuvi 205 comes with a 3.5 inch screen, maps of the lower 48 U.S. states, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, optional MSN Direct traffic service, 'Where Am I' emergency locator, and photo navigation. The 205W adds a 4.3 inch widescreen to the 205's features. The 255 has a 3.5 inch screen and maps of North America. It speaks street names and is compatible with FM or MSN Direct traffic. 'Where am I' and photo navigation are also included. The 255W has all the features of the 255 with a wide 4.3 inch screen. The 265T has a 3.5 inch screen and maps of North America. It speaks street names and has Bluetooth for hands-free calling with compatible phones. FM and optional MSN Direct traffic, 'Where am I' and photo navigation round out its features. The 265WT adds a 4.3 inch widescreen to the 265T's set of features. The 275T comes with maps of Europe and North America, FM and optional MSN Direct traffic, Bluetooth for hands-free calling, and it speaks street names. It also includes the 'Where am I' emergency locator and photo navigation. Nuvi 300 Series This series of Garmin automotive GPS devices has been discontinued, but is still available online and still supported by Garmin. All models have 3.5 inch screens and external antennae. The Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS comes with pre-loaded maps of North America. You can get traffic alerts by adding an optional traffic receiver. It speaks street names, and includes a Travel Kit with MP3 player, audiobook player, picture viewer, and more. The Garmin Nuvi 360 GPS possesses the same features as the 350, with the addition of Bluetooth for hands-free calling. The 370 has maps of both North America and Europe, Bluetooth, an included FM traffic receiver, and the Travel Kit. Nuvi 500 Series The Garmin Nuvi GPS models in this series are designed for multiple uses: auto, biking, boating, and hiking. They have 3.5 inch screens, are waterproof, speak street names, and are compatible with optional FM traffic alerts. The Nuvi 500 comes with maps of the lower 48 U.S. states, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico or one European region or country. It also includes U.S. topographic maps. The 550 comes with maps of North America or Europe. Nuvi 600 Series Like the 300 series, these Garmin Nuvi GPS portable-auto devices have been discontinued, but are still available online and still supported by Garmin. All have 4.3" widescreens and external antennae. The Nuvi 600 is designed for use in Europe, with pre-loaded maps for a specific European region or country. Optional FM traffic service and the Travel Kit entertainment features add value. The 610 is the same as the 600, with the addition of Bluetooth for hands-free calling. The 650 comes with maps of North America. It is compatible with optional FM traffic service and includes the Travel Kit. The Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS has maps of North America, hands-free calling, an integrated FM traffic receiver, and an FM transmitter to play voice prompts, music, and audiobooks through your car stereo system. It also speaks street names. The 670 is identical to the 660 except it has maps of both North America and Europe. The 680 has maps of North America, hands-free calling, an FM transmitter, and optional MSN Direct service for current weather, traffic, movie times and gas prices. Nuvi 700 Series These Garmin Nuvi GPS models are advanced navigational devices. All have a 4.3 inch widescreen, FM transmitter, MP3 player, and route planning capability. They speak street names, are compatible with FM and MSN Direct traffic services and include the 'Where am I' and Garmin Locate features. The Nuvi 750 comes with maps of North America. The Garmin Nuvi 760 GPS has an integrated FM traffic receiver and Bluetooth for hands-free calling. The 770 comes with maps of North America and Europe, hands-free calling, and an FM traffic receiver. The 780 has included MSN Direct service for traffic, weather, news, and more, and hands-free calling. Nuvi 705 Series This series of Garmin Nuvi GPS systems offer premium navigation features such as lane assist and 3-D building view. They are widescreen, with spoken street names, route planning, optional FM and MSN Direct traffic, FM transmitter, MP3 player, 'Where am I' and Garmin Locate. The Nuvi 755T has maps of North America and an included FM traffic receiver. The 765T comes with maps of North America, an FM traffic receiver, and Bluetooth hands-free calling. The 775T has maps of North America and Europe, FM traffic and hands-free calling. The 785T comes with maps of North America, MSN Direct service, and hands-free calling. Nuvi 800 Series These Garmin Nuvi GPS models have voice-activated navigation to help you keep your eyes on the road. They have a widescreen, optional FM or MSN Direct traffic, FM transmitter, MP3 player, route planning, spoken street names, 'Where am I', and Garmin Locate. The Nuvi 850 comes with maps of North America. The 880 includes MSN Direct and hands-free calling. Nuvi 5000 Series The Nuvi 5000 is designed to be used in large vehicles such as trucks and RVs. It has an extra-wide 5.2 inch screen and composite video input to connect a rear-view camera. It also has optional FM or MSN Direct traffic, route planning, FM transmitter, MP3 player, and 'Where am I' emergency locator.
